Loch LINNHE

Loch Linnhe

Early morning ambience recorded at Inverscaddle. Ironbright uses a mixture of these recordings both in their original form as well as filtered and tuned versions. The recordings feature bird calls typical of a NW Highland estuary including Pearlfishers, Eider, Curlew and Snipe. Also immeadiately facing the bay is a wooded brae which contributes Blackbirds, Finches and the ubiquitous Siskin.

The inevitable sound of lapping water is also joined by an unusual high frequency "bubbling" - the effect of the tide rapidly returning to the gravel and sandy shore and being absorbed back in to the ground.
